Sunday Sermon Series
June 27 - July 18
Ephesians 4:21-24
Series Thesis: Fashion addresses how we choose to clothe ourselves. Some people are “trendy” or “chic” others are “classic” or “timeless” and still others are in desperate need of the “what to wear” make over. The apostle Paul wrote about the fashion of the soul and instructed us what to throw out of our closets and what to add to it. In this series we will learn how to clothe our eternal soul in high fashion. |

True Fashion
Ephesians 4:21
The classic tale of the emperor’s new clothes is one of foolish self-deception. Without the truth that is in Jesus Christ our souls remain naked or clothed in hideous rags while we believe we are finely clothed.

Clean Your Closet
Ephesians 4:22
Soul fashion begins by getting rid of our hideous old wardrobe. The soul clothed with corruption and deceitful desires must be cleaned out to make room for a new wardrobe. Ephesians 5:3-5 poorly dresses the soul.

Change Your Mind About Fashion
Ephesians 4:23
We clothe our soul in such hideous fashion because our thinking is wrong. Soul fashion requires a new way of thinking about style and quality fashion for the soul. If we can learn a new sense of what actually looks good on the soul, we can improve our soul consistently.

Go on a Shopping Spree
Ephesians 4:24
Soul fashion is a divine design and style. It is created by God and features righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 5:25-32 describes the well dressed soul. As one rarely can afford to purchase an entirely new wardrobe at once, so dressing the soul well happens on piece at a time.
