"The Virtue of Humility"
Dear Friend,
Pride deceives us in two ways. And because it deceives us, we sabotage ourselves. First, pride attempts to hide issues like insecurity, fear and self-doubt. Second, pride promises to protect and advance us. These two lies keep us from doing the things we need to do to grow our souls and to relate to other people in healthy ways. The self-sabotage which follows pride is stated in the well known proverb: “Pride goes before the fall.”
Humility reveals to our self-awareness our insecurities, fears and doubts. This revelation both permits and inspires us to grow and develop. Humility also secures more healthy relationships to other good people.
I encourage you to strengthen your soul with the virtue of humility.
