“A Fun Plan”
Dear Friend,
The Apostle Paul commanded the early church in 1st Thessalonians 5:16 to “Rejoice always.” Rejoicing is the sound we make and words we say when our souls are full of joy. To rejoice always, we need a strategy to reconnect with the things that bring us joy. This reconnecting happens in moments throughout the day, in hours throughout the week, and in days throughout the month. This is why we all need a “fun plan.”
A good fun plan is built upon at least three thoughtful concepts:
- What are the simple things that bring me joy?
- What are the hobbies or interactive activities that bring me joy?
- What is the life pace that permits me to live joyfully?
These are questions that only the individual can answer. We should never permit or expect others to answer these questions for us. I encourage you to figure out how to live joyfully and fulfill the Christian command, Rejoice always.
