"The Most Dangerous Antichrist"
Dear Friend,
Antichrist. Just reading the word ignites a rush of thoughts for most people. For the very religious, memories rush before your mind’s eye of sermons and movies predicting a terrifying future. For those not-so-religious, perhaps you associate the word with a horrifying Hollywood movie or rebellious rock bands.
In truth, the antichrist that is most dangerous to each of us lives within our worst thoughts, ugliest emotions and poorest choices. Perhaps we would profit from a self-diagnostic:
- What thoughts would Christ replace in my mind?
- What emotions like anger, jealousy and suspicion would Christ replace?
- What self-ruining choices would Christ most like to change in my life?
Each of these questions exposes the spirit of the antichrist in the human soul. Please remember, “Christ did not come into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” The spirit of Christ expresses God’s desire and work to save you from a wasted life and burdensome eternity. The spirit of antichrist opposes this Divine and noble purpose.
