"God's Presence Produces Positive Results”
Dear Friend,
My grandkids spent the past week with me. Their presence changed the rhythms of my life. Our dinner table was crowded; we watched cartoons and ate ice cream every day. Children being present in my house made my life more interesting and challenging.
How does your presence in the world affect other people? Do you bring joy and energy to your home? Do the people you work with perform better because you encourage them? Or do you have a negative affect? I desire to enrich the people around me. I hope to inspire, encourage and strengthen my family, friends and coworkers to do the same. I need the presence of God in my life when I read the Scriptures. I find that His presence in a person’s life produces many positive results.
Ephesians 4:2 lists three qualities created by the presence of God:
- Humility – Humble people generate a spirit of cooperation and communication.
- Gentleness – Gentle people create an environment of peace and well-being.
- Patience – Patient people enrich others with space to make mistakes and grow.
I encourage you to aspire to be a humble, gentle and patient person. These qualities give you the capacity to influence others around you for good. I also encourage you to seek the presence of the Lord in your life so that these qualities thrive within you.
