"Plan Wisely "
Dear Friend,
If your life could be exactly what you wanted it to be in five years, what would it look like? Can you describe a future in which you fully express your talents, gifts, and passions? I believe our creative God invites us to fully invest ourselves in working with Him to create the future.
Brian Tracy wrote a book entitled: Goals. In it he said: “Your ability to decide exactly what you want, write it down, make a plan, and then execute that plan is key to your personal effectiveness and high achievement.”
- Invest some time this week to discern what you really want to do with your life in the next five years.
- Write these ideas down in positive statements.
- Beneath each of these positive statements write three action plans.
- Put these action plans in your day planner and work them into your life habits.
God is often more willing to bless us than we imagine. This simple procedure suggested by Brian Tracy gives God something to bless in our lives. The author of Proverbs wrote:
“Careful planning puts you ahead in the long run;hurry and scurry puts you further behind.”
Proverbs 21:5
The Message
So, the Scriptures teach us that it is wise to plan. Brian Tracy gives us a simple four step method to plan. Best of all, God promises to be at work in our lives while we plan and in our execution of the plan if we seek Him in prayer and faith.
