Resurrection Thinking

Dear Friend,

Every Easter we celebrate resurrection. Resurrection means a death to an old life and rebirth or a fresh start in a new life. Might I direct you in resurrection thinking?

Easter invites us to a spiritual resurrection in which something of our corrupt and ugly spirit dies and in its place new spiritual qualities grow and thrive.

Easter may show us the way to a psychological resurrection in which bad attitudes and thought patterns parish. And faith, hope, and love replace them.

Easter begins the joys of spring and reminds us of physical resurrection. The beauty of nature reasserts itself: the grass turns green, flowers bloom, and trees turn the horizon verdant.

Christians believe that because Christ rose from the dead, death is not the end of life, but the spring of eternal life. We look forward with faith to a resurrection life that is rich, splendid, and majestic.
