Generocity
Dear Friend,
Many of us are reading and discussing Andy Stanley’s book, Fields of Gold. Andy tells an insightful story from his life as a teenager: His church took a special offering to help a young lady through nursing school and Andy gave a month’s worth of his savings to help her. He intended to use that money to buy himself a car. As a young man, he learned one of the lessons of generosity; he could push beyond fear and trust God with his economic well being.
Every year we dedicate time to reflect and plan so that we can live better economic lives:
- Do you have an economic plan?
- Are you escaping the tyranny of high interest debt?
- Does your economic plan express your faith in God’s providential care?
- Are you learning the real value of generosity?
Remember our Lord taught us:
“You are more blessed when you give than when you receive.” Acts 20:35
