Podcasting is a method of automatically distributing audio and video content over the Internet. The word ‘podcasting’ is a mix of the words ‘iPod’ (Apple’s popular portable mp3 player) and ‘broadcasting.’
Now you can subscribe to free audio podcasts from Christ Church. Podcasting makes it easy to have weekly sermons automatically downloaded to your computer and synced with your mp3 player.
To receive audio podcasts:
To download a podcast, you only need a computer with an Internet connection and podcast software (which you’ll need to install). We recommend iTunes because it is easy to use on either a Mac or a PC. You can download and install iTunes free.
Downloading and installing iTunes will take several minutes, so do this when you can stay at your computer for a little bit.
After you install iTunes:
Here’s how you subscribe to Christ Church Podcasts…
1. Copy this entire link:
2. Open iTunes and click Advanced on the upper tool bar
3. Click Subscribe to Podcast in the drop-down list
4. Paste the link you just copied into the URL: box and click OK
iTunes will create the connection to Christ Church Podcasts plus search for and download new sermons. Keep in mind that iTunes will take several minutes to download each sermon.
